PARCEL TRAY

my car is a 63, now got a parcel tray but it seems as its the wrong one? i have the round heater. do you have to cut them to fit? :( :( :([frame]Image[/frame]

It should have a slot at the front for the vent to poke through. I guess those holes are for the later heater which has hoses rather than the metal "mouth piece" so that parcel shelf will be for a post October 63 built car....

as i have no vent on the heater can i just tape it up so it just blows on the screen? and is it right people have used gaffer tape? could the shelf be cut to fit? :cry: :cry: :cry:

Have you not got the "car" bit on yours.... The bit that is attached to the heater shroud ?
Really you should send it back as I believe the correct ones are available.

I'd resell the shelf then as it is for a Series 5 car and look for the correct one for yours. You can block the mouth piece with a rag or demister sponge to direct all the air to the screen but I wouldn't use tape as it might get messy...
