Re: ignition lights
Yes it should . Check the bulb first.
Re: ignition lights
Do you have an oil gauge fitted? It is possible that the oil light switch has been disconnected if a gauge has been fitted....?

Re: ignition lights
It is just a push in bulb holder and the bulb is a bayonet fitting into it.

Re: ignition lights
found it, i think i may have pulled the bulb out when fixing the speedo cable.
all good now.
I have 3 extra gauges on behind the drivers wheel, though none light up when i put the lights on, can i take a feed from somewhere else to light them?

Re: ignition lights
The speedo lights are powered by a red & white wire. Just take a feed from this to the gauge bulbs and earth the gauges via the mounting bracket or by running a separate earth back to the body.

Re: ignition lights
cool, thanks.
i spoke to Matt at www.thinkauto.com, he supplies various parts for guages and rads, seems to know his stuff and will supply a T adapter for my oli gauge, so i can keep my oil light too.

Re: ignition lights
It is best to use a Tee piece when fitting an oil gauge and it makes it easier to fit!

This message board is like a family - you can't choose the other members!! But remember engine oil is thicker than water.
Re: ignition lights
But yours is far from a standard engine - so make sure you get the correct threads on that T piece!
