whats the general colour of people's engines?

mine is new bmc green with a lovely red fan on the front

mainly green but some one on here quite likes gold

Any colour you want as it is your engine, however "most" left the factory green... (Yes, I know there were exceptions like gold, silver, blue, grey etc....) :wink:

Can't remember! Haven't opened the bonnet for couple of years. Reliable motors these Minors.

(faded) gold as it's a gold seal, but the head is now green after I fitted the U/L one.

It's being replaced or refreshed at some point this year, so I guess it'll then all be green.

Black, its a 1275 and grey for the side valve

Most were green with a yellow fan, mine has a red fan too though.

early ones had a red fan, the fan pulley was black
later fans yellow

but i suspect one engine on here will get gold all over :D :D :D :D

Mine is flakey dirty gold... as it's a Goldseal. I guess at some point the gold gave it an extra turn of speed.
