rebuildable part

Hello,

Is there a way that a MM sidevalve waterpump can be rebuilt, and who can I contact? The two that I have, one is good and the other has a slightly wonky shaft. The one with the bad shaft I will be keeping because I thought it was good until I found out today it wasn't. The good one is going to Ian McDougall.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

E P Services, Wolverhampton refurbish water pumps. I have had mine repaired by them and several others have also. Their phone no. is 0044 1902 452914.

Highly recommended. They remove the awful Morris sealing system and put in 2 sealed-for-life bearings that allow them to put a long warranty on it.
Very pleasant chaps and they repaired the pump for free after I stupidly tried to put bearing grease through it (The bearings shifted off their seats) since they'd left the grease nipple on it.

As to the prices of pumps, I sold one last year for something like £60 to £70 that had not been touched for maybe 20 years. It might have needed a new seal but I think the owner took it to EP anyway. I managed to buy another about 10 years ago at a car show for a similar figure but it was lightly used and wasn't worth trying without a rebuild. £70 is about $100 US. The rebuild costs the same sort of money.
