to keep the work going over the cold spell i got my self one of these .
one night last-week i set out with --5 in the garage and fired up the stove after 2hrs had the temp up
to 2 bit better to work in and by the end of the night the temp at the other end of my garage was 10
temp around the stove was a impressive 25
the wife says all i need now is a bed .

It looks great Mark - what do you burn in it ?? But you being a heating engineer -where's the water boiler and the row of radiators around the garage? And - no billy can warming nicely on the top ? I would spend my time sitting in front of it - making toast!

i did a wee heating system for my dad a few years ago for his spray booth and garage it was using an old
ray burn and some old rads piped it all up as a one pipe system worked very well till it burst one winter (back boiler on the ray burn ) we then fitted an oil boiler i took out as they had changed to gas also got over 200 gallons of oil for the taking away
since then have done a few oil to gas change overs so have all the spares i will ever need and also get any old oil they have left
as no one wants it and the scrappy will not take the tank if oil in it .........free heat.......
filled the system with antifreeze so can leave it over the winter and it only takes 5 mins to fire it up 15 mins and the place is warm .....
i on the other hand was only looking for a wee source of heat just to work in hence the log burner ......
the fan is to push the warm air down the garage .
burn mostly logs on it best burn is ash ......some times get a load of coal ........
if i had a kettle out there i think the wife would never see me .....
going to get the truck out today for a wee blast as the snow has all gone first run out 2010........
