Hi all a friend of mine came for some sealed beam lamps and gave him I had running around in the garage, he came back a bit later saying that they're emitting smoke in the bulb itself when connected what's this?? :)

thanks

I'm guessing that the vacuum inside has sucked in some air & what you are seeing is the tungsten filament burning . I don't think they will last very long .
