I recieved my 1st edition of minor matters today, after buying a 1960 traveller just before Xmas.
I live on the edge of the New Forest, and recognised the name of John Coleman in one of the articles.
Sadly, I recognised his name, as the local newspaper reported yesterday that he lost control of his blue Morris Minor in the snow on Tues- he did not survive.
i am sorry that my first post is with sad news for those of you that obviously must have known him

You don't think of people getting killed in Minors, which these days is probably very rare. There isn't a good way to die in my book but I suppose some would say better at the wheel of a nice car, than in a hospital with tubes and wires stuck in you. I wonder will John's car live on?

It would seem from the local newspaper that he died at the wheel and there was no evidence of an accident he may have infact died at the wheel, due to other medical reasons. It does not however take away any of the sadness that acompanies this article. RIP John

But what a good way to go for someone who obviously lived and breathed Minors. No long drawn out illness, just a heart attack at the wheel and gone. Good job no-one else was hurt though.

Very sad. A friend of mine, a Rover P4 owner, wants to get buried in his car!

I've pondered that I wouldn't mind if my Traveller were used as my hearse (The others being too small) and I'd get them to take me on one final journey (Of say 40 miles), taking in some of the local places that have meant a lot to me. I hope I don't need to think too much about it for the time being.....indeed, so long as I could share immortality with freinds and family, I'd gladly forget the whole thing.
