What kind of eejit jumps out of a car sliding along the road. Then again probably the same type of eejit who gets marooned outside my house

Yes, I wondered I think I would have stayed put but then I guess you had to be there.

Take it you have had a fair dollop of the white stuff. Inverness is quite bad and the A9 at Daviot was closed for a bit.

Been shut (A9) in several places most of the day still shut at Drumochter. Was out and about in the village this morning - it was really quite bad especially now we've got the wind. Think I'll hole up till spring - as long as I dont run out of beer.

I very very nearly rammed a bus two days ago, at walking pace - on a very similar surface. Saved by the bus moving forwards slightly just before I hit!

Were you speed walking in your wellies Roy, head down and not see the bus in front of you?

Can't find 'wellies' big enough! No - I was in the brand new (wife's) car! Road cobvered in wet ice - no grip - ABS just gives up since all wheels not turning - it thinks the car is stopped!

Is it just me or are our roads not quite as well maintained in snow/ice these days or am I just getting old?
