whats the petrol cost in your area?

Post by cadetchris »

in these times of strange petrol prices, whats it cost a litre in your area.

in my petrol station/work its

115.9p petrol
113.9 diesel

we had to put 4p on it this morning after HQ in london said it had to be made so. not fantastic as we put it up 2p because of the rise in VAT,

oh well, its getting expensive to run the motorcar

Comparatively "cheap" around Reading, especially if you use the supermarket filling stations, around 109-110ppl unleaded.
Shall we start a political discussion on the rights and wrongs of keeping tankers sitting out at sea waiting for the price to go up, the amount of tax and VAT on fuel etc?

£105.9-107.9
Depending where you shop, an issue at the moment because we are an Island, Tesco seems to think it has a monopoly on what it charges.

Go slightly further afield and you definitely pay less. It's all about being organised and getting petrol while you are in the area with the cheapest rates.

Good grief Mike haven't you anything better to do
I would have thought that an engine rebuild would be better use of your time :D

Apparently we are about to run out of gas any day now due to high demand and not enough storage capacity

£105.9-107.9
same here in Leamington at 1 Supermarket (not the leading one) and same in Lancaster at the branded one nearest the M6 junction.
Unfortunately I went to Morrisons in Lancaster on the way home thinking it would be best value, only to find one on the way to the M6 was cheaper

The engine is out and ready to go next week, it's too bloody cold in the garage and I am trying to get the central heating as well as the hot water to work properly. Expecting the repair man tomorrow if we don't get snowed in. Meanwhile I am looking for things to stir with a big wooden spoon!!!!

Well here in not so sunny Sth. Wales (Cwmbran) it was £1.05 on Christmas Eve. Now it has risen to £1.09 for unleaded.
