hi, i was just wondering if anyone made a roll cage for the minor?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid that there is no company producing one 'off the shelf'. Roll Centre in Daventry have done one but no longer have the drawings. I'm sure that any reputable cage company will build one but it will not be cheap. What sort were you thiking of full or half.

Do you want it for general use - or for competition use ? If competition - there are many rules and regs - and it won't be cheap!

Forgot to mention, insurance companies do not really like folk fitting cages to road cars, due to the anticipation that the owner will not be into pootling around. So expect a rise in premium, maybe not too much but enough.

Also - make sure it is WELL padded - all too easy to crack your head open against the very solid steel tubes in an accident.

Full harness and securely fitted seats?

Even then - in an accident -amazing how much the body rattles around! And if not wearing helmet.........

Well i realy just want a cage for general use to look good. i just had a quick look at the minor and i have recaro style seats in there, so it makes it all abit tight. i might have a look at fabbing my own this week, as i realy only want a simple roll over hoop and two tubes that drop down between the rear seats so i might have a look into it.

i did a role-cage in a 2 door i had done it just for the look
not the best pic but the only one i can find at the moment.
will look for a better one for you .

i started off with a bar 2" across the back at the rear of the seats to take the fixing point for the harness then just built it up from there .
was a bit of a pain getting in and out but all good for the art.........

Trouble is you might sell it one day and the next owner may think it is a proper rollcage.

You need CDS11 tube for a cage, do not use scaffold tube. A 1/3/4 tube is okay but will cost over £10 pere meter just for materials.
