How dare Clarkson put the Minor down. At least he was surprised Seasick Steve made a good guitar from it. Maybe my spare hubcaps with sell now :P. Anyone?

Yes he used one during his early journalist days up in the north west.

Haha. His excuse would be 'oooh it drifts nicely with the RWD'.

About 36 mins in during seasick steve interview.

For him not that bad considering what he could have said!

I always fast forward the star in a reasonably priced car bit so I missed it.

Is it only me that thinks the programme has just about had its day in the current format?

The Piston Head site has a long thread about this as it is classed as entertainment these days. I used to enjoy top gear but lately it has become very samey and more about the presenters egos than about motoring. You just have to take everything with a pinch of salt as apparently it pulls in huge viewing figures & amazing is merchandising for the Beeb.

Guys,

Cant a few of us get together and contact he BBC.......Theres a few of us on here who could really show Clarkson the BEST sound to come out of a Morris Minor.....if you catch my drift.

Think we got off better than the Marinas owners club BTW!

Bit of promotion for the club too. Who's in charge of liason and PR??? Roise whatsit???

Jeremy Clarkson is an occasionally, vaguely amusing pillock. His opinions and comments should be dismissed as being of no significance or value.

Agreed. He only said that he didn't like it, not anything about it.
As for Top Gear, I have always seen it as an entertainment show and a good one at that. Fifth Gear is more of a car program so I watch that for cars. Therefore I can't complain about Top Gear :)

I love it - I honestly think its the best thing on tv. But speakng with family about it over the past week, its definitely something that divides opinion!

oh come on. free speach.

i can quite happily say that morris marinas are the sporn of the devil, so are ford capri's and triumph 2000's and honestly just because somebody expresses an opinion and just happens to be on television, does certainly require a crusade to be started by *no offense* over sensative and self-righteous people who dont like some one elses opinion.

i did think that we where all better than that on here, that we could take abit of stick and turn the other cheek.

As much as I often find Clarkson irritating, his last column in the Sun was absolutely bang on.

As for Top Gear, yes its just a bit of fun now but think how annoying it must be to the environmentalist clique at the BBC.. A programme that goes against all they stand for but is too popular for them to scrap.

Heeheehee... :D :D :D

I think the interview with Seasick Steve was brilliant (what a cool guy) and I don't think the Minor was put down at all really. Probably did the image more good than harm. :D

I must admit that I do enjoy Top Gear and love Clarkson's attitude (yes really!) of: This is what I like, I'm doing it so stuff everyone who does not agree... bit like driving a classic instead of a modern really.

I don't agree with the destruction of the classics, but you've got to admire his attitude.
