I don't fancy your chances of re covering a wiring loom. New and custom made looms can be supplied by Autosparks, tel 0115 949 7211

i dont need to cover all of it, just some of it and it seems a bit daft buying a new loom when the wiring is ok, last time i looked they were well over £100? my truck is in bits as is the wiring so its easy to get to, ill speak to autosparks anyway thank very muchly.

Just bind it with suitable tape - various types available - maybe self-amalgamating tape would be most suitable.

Autosparks will rebraid your loom for £1.50 p/ft, though I think this is if you send them the loom, not sure if they can do it in situ

I've been successful using bicycle handlebar tape in the past with great results.
