Couple of thoughts..

Couple of quick thoughts...

1) Why don't we have a section for the web forum users in the "branch news" section of Minor Matters? I am sure that there is enough news, gossip, scandal and general tomfoolery on this forum to generate enough material for a few paragraphs every couple of months, and it might encourage more Minor Matters readers who haven't yet had a play with the site to join in (the website doesn't seem to get referenced much at all in the mag, but is one of the best aspects of membership in my opinion!)

2) Anyone any thoughts on web rally this year yet? Again if we come up something early enough it could be listed in Minor Matters...

Enough rambling, have a happy, healthy and prosperous year one and all!

Cheers,

Paul.

"Why don't we have a section for the web forum users in the "branch news" section of Minor Matters? "

Excellent idea
:D
Presumably you are a member of the MMOC in which case how do you propose moving the idea forward?

You are sounding like my boss! If there is enough groundswell of support for the idea I'm happy to draft few paragraphs for a "pilot" (unless there are any other budding volunteers), but I need more than one positive response to motivate me to my keyboard...

Perhaps the magazine editing team might consider the idea if they have something concrete to look at.

What does anybody else think?

Cheers,

Paul.

Hi Paul,
I think thats a great idea :D :D
I like the way that the mag has developed throughout 2009 (more "tech tips" which are useful to a mechanical numpty like me), I also like to be able to "flick through" the hard copy too, but this forum has provided me with the main advice / info I need and is pretty "instantaneous" which a bi-monthly mag cannot be. It'd be great to let more people know how useful / helpful the forum can be and be encouraged to get involved in sharing their advice / stories too :D .

If someone's happy to write it, we're happy to have a look at it! Don't see any reason why we shouldn't run something (even if I am on teh way out!

Is there anyone out there with the time and ability to write up to 6 lots of branch news per year? I'd run out of ideas before the first one was finished! When there are web rallies there's plenty to talk about but what about the other times?
