Can you still get a 10 thou rebore?

If the bores are not badly worn, don't see why not, but it is only 5 thou per side.......More important really - can you get 10 thou oversize pistons ?

Ahh - no - you asked about the 'rebore'!
But - your luck is in! ESM have an original BMC set - and on 'special offer' too!

And - swifty can do you a set of flat top Omegas - for only £450, but seemingly only in +20 thou - but you could ask.........

Oh ok, but the implication was there!
Thanks for the link, but it's for a 1275 and I suspect they start at 20thou o/s. It's standard at the moment and have thought of removing the (slight) bore ridge, honing and fitting new rings, 3 rings plus a scraper---wondered if 2 rings +scraper was more usual?

I initially assumed you had a set of +10 pistons - and were wondering if a 10 thou rebore was possible...........
The swifty link is for both 1275 and 1098 pistons (quite why they are pushing 1098 pistons is beyond me - since most Mini engines are 998! ) - the ESM link is for 1098 +10 pistons.............
The cost of honing and new rings - I would go for the ESM 'original' set at +10 thou - and do the job properly!
