Getting obsessed...

There was a terrific programme on BBC 4 Television over Christmas about the evolution of the British Motorway. I had a very happy hour Minor Spotting!

There is a darker confession. A couple of weeks ago I found myself watching (one never intends to!) one of those dreary Police Camera Action programmes. Rather than looking at the crashes and chases, I found myself idly wondering if a Morris Minor might appear perchance in the traffic as the car chase progressed, and promptly wasted a hour on the planet in this fruitless pursuit.

After the programme, I had cause to contemplate my sinfulness, and wondered in any other members have caught themselves indulging in some Morris Minor related obsessive behaviour!

Happy Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

I think we all do that!
I love watching some of the old tv programs just to count the cars (and of course watching the new programs set in the past to see which cars shouldn't be there  ) there is a list somewhere on the internet that includes all of the films and tv programs that feature a minor. I've found quite a few seem to appear in music videos too!

There's a lovely Almond green traveller in Keeping Mum with Rowan Atkinson. I think one pops up in George Gently and another in The Bank Job. Flawless springs to mind as well.So don't worry about your behaviour Harry, you're not alone...

I was watching "The Borrowers" the other day. Almost all vehicles were Morris Minors.

I saw part of a programme about slapstick comendy which showed Michael Crawford hanging from a Morris minor saloon on the edge of a cliff (cant think of the programme but a catchphrase of his was "Ooooh Betty") he apparently did all of his stunts himself :o :o
