The Signalman, by Dickens is usually on at this time. Denholm Elliot playing a Signalman in his isolated 'box with a ghost putting the wind up him...
Not seen it this year though.

I watched it yesterday on VHS but I don't think I saw it listed on the normal channels. Damned good film and even though I've seen it so many times, I never tire of it (Though I don't watch it every week).
It used to be on regularly at Christmas (I don't know why it became associated with Christmas - OK they sing a few carrols to disguise the tunnelling) and it became a bit of a joke (Not to me it didn't) and now they don't seem to show it so much. Morecambe & Wise were on

but a lot of the TV seemed to be junk......but I won't name any of it

.

Go for it bmc, do an Absolute Block course, every other signalling system is developed from it.
The signalbox in the film is Highley on the Severn Valley Railway.

Yes super film, I love the Mcqueen Motorbike chase so I was looking forward to seeing it on the terestrial TV, so I cheated and typed in "Mcqueen Motorbike" on Utube to get my seasonal fix. Anyone know when Zulu is on?
