Look what was hiding in the snow ... :D

A present from the wife this Christmas ...

I have named him Albert :)

Quick inspection reveals Albert suffers with 'MM disorder' (Metal Mouse)? RUST big time. :-?

First thoughts ... Albert may become a donor car for my other Morris car, Vera

Albert is an A reg and Vera is a J reg, wondering are the parts interchangeable?

Picture of Vera to follow, will keep you updated :P
Image
Rust is rarely terminal! However in sever cases it takes a lot of repairing..

And yes - most parts are transferrable. However the earlier car will have 948 engine and smooth case gearbox - and 4.55 final drive ratio.

"A" registration- Jan 1963 onwards. Weren't they 1098 after late '62?

Well- touch and go! I thought from B reg onwards certainly 1098 - depends how long the car sat in showroom.....

There are others out there with immaculate Moggies that can't even get them to run!

I guess from a post on another thread offering a red interior... Albert has been laid to rest. :(

Many thanks for all your concern regarding Albert.
However, on inspection, Albert suffered a major defect from one side of the car to the other amongst other major areas :(
To repair Albert, he would have needed to be put on some kind of a jig in order to allow the replacement of some of his main chassis parts.
The decision was made Albert has become a donor car for my other Morris
May Albert rest in peace :)

Yes, I saw the other vid on YouTube of his dismantling.

Very sad indeed. :(
