After market accessories. Mount on the crown of the wing. Circular mirrors would look more suited to a 1957 Minor and fit convex, not flat glass mirrors with the longest arms you can find.

I have been told by whom I consider to be a reliable source that wing mirrors were fitted 7'' from the front of the wing, if that is any help.

Circular mirrors with convex glass and long arms are what you want. I don't suppose there was ever an exact distance from the front of the wing but 7 - 8 inches is about right.

Heres details of some of the factory fitted mirrors. They are listed with 4 1/2" diameter mirrors with flat or convex glass

They dont seem to have been fitted to UK cars but were fitted for some export markets.
