Bottom hose - too short?

I've bought a secondhand bottom hose with a heater take-off tube. It is for spare, there is nothing wrong with the old one. When I offer it up next to the old one it looks about two inches shorter in the horizontal direction. Do they come in different sizes for different age minors? I'm probably going to put it back on ebay and don't want to mislead buyers if it is for a different make. Complete guess, but maybe a mini?

Hi bmc - are you saying that the mini has the same shape bottom hose, only smaller than the minor?

Very similar - perhaps slightly less of a twist at the bottom - Mini rad bottom outlet sticks out at an angle.

The Mini hose is quite a bit different, it sounds to me that its similar to an A40 hose, here are some pics for you to compare.

Great pics Kevin, worth a thousand words. My spare is not a mini or a minor then. I'm going to put it in the garage for 30 years and hope it increases in value :D
