window frames
has any one ever made a set of front window frames for a 2 door in stainless steel. all i ever seem to find are chrome plated steel ones that are advertised as stainless steel.
i always use the magnet test when i find a pair.
if it sticks its mild steel

Of course they are! 30 years ago we had a machine that separated stainless scrap depending on it's susceptibilty to magnetic force! Had huge electro magnets that would stop your watch!

There are thousands upon thousands of different grades of stainless steel. Like all things you get cheap offerings, expensive ones and many different mixes of alloys within those categories. Not surprisingly they all look pretty much the same to the naked eye.
Interestingly there is an association:

I bet they have interesting meets in the pub and talk "stainless"!

I may have to pass on that one PSL. From my experience a quality stainless steel comes into it's own when put under duress. Such as, cheap stainless pots and pans on the cooker. Expensive may burn but clean when washed, cheap will burn and never be the same again.
