heres mine in satin black
matte black primer with guide coat
and in matte black
the matte black is etch primer
trick to keeping it clean (as you cant go rubbing it as it will gloss up) is to use pledge cleaner on it (get greasy finger prints off)
Tho these days you can get matte black topcoats.
The satin is john deere paint - not blitz black (which is what alot of hot rodders use) but med gloss black which is one step higher gloss wise. Very cheap and easy to use, i paid about $80 (NZD) for 4 L. It is an enamel paint, I added some hardener to the mix and after about a week and a half it was rock solid

tortron i reckon that looks mint in its own right, certainly not concours material but you dont often see a morry done up like that. What are the white markings in the second, third and forth photos??

the fronts are flush with the edges of the wings but the backs stick out almost 2 inches each side. went through the mot with them on though.

The police may take a different view if they are in the mood.
I believe the MOT covers safety related things while the police enforce the construction and use laws.

tyres sticking out of the side are a safety issue if a pedestrian hits the side of your car they are meant to "bounce off".. but if they hit the tyre they are going to be dragged under.. at least that was way it was explained to me..
having said all that my front tyres stick out slightly on my moggy but it has gone through the MOT with them once with me and i do not think the previous owners changed them in the several years they owned it.
