How to Spray Paint ???

Post by iandromiskin »

I want to learn how to spray paint as well. Does anyone have any advice on what to buy, how to mix, clean and basically go about practising spraying a car or bits ?????

How to Spray Paint ???

Post by ian.mcdougall »

Hi Ian
You will find it difficult to find cellulose in Ireland now as it was banned under EU regulations only able to get water based base with two pack laquer or some high solid two pack neither of which is suitable for non professional use . DON'T TELL ANYONE I TOLD YOU THIS BUUUT   if you took a look at some motor factors across the border you may be able to get some made up there and pick it up, as for practice you could always buy some house paint not the water based type more the old style Dulux that is going cheap and thin it down with paint thinners and practice with that I always spray my central heating rads this way (by the way I work in a car bodyshop)
Regards Ian
