Hi, ive had to replace both upper pivot arm as the thread was not in good shape. ive got the old pins out the armstrong shock however the question is do the new ones have to be pressed back in as ive bolted it up and tightened but there is a 4mm gap between the large washer, do i need a press to get them right back in to the shock arm?

cheers

I'm amzed you got them off the dampesr in the first place - i have NEVER been able to shift them. But - I am bemused - because these arms don't have any 'thread' - so not understanding what the problem is!

You say - 'replace both upper pivot arm' - I foolishly assumed that was what you had done !
If it's only the pin - then just tighten it as best you can - and check again after a day's running.
