Indicator stalk

The black plastic bit on the end of my indicator stalk has gone greyish yellow and cracked (currently held together with sellotape).
New indicator assemblies are around £50 and you can get the little green cover, but I've never seen just the end bit or the stalk for sale seperately. Do the parts seperate? Please don't tell me I have to replace the whole thing!!!?

On e-bay they tend to go for £20 to £30 if they are in reasonable condition.
If you are really stuck for cash, you could re-build the old one using something like chemical metal (or araldite?) then paint it black.
Otherwise, try one of the guys who has a car they are breaking... (theres a few on here)

I don't think they separate - look closely and it appears (though I could be wrong...) that the clear/grey piece (once was black, yes?) gets heated, pushed over the stalk, and then contracts... maybe?
Don't think it comes off, anyhow. Mine's gone clear and manky, but £50 is rightly a bit steep...
I did see on ebay a standard-looking stalk which had the headlamp flash on it, but it didn't look like a mid-80's Austin-Rover throwback, it looked just like the original type ones!

Here we go:

It says it might come from an 1100/1300, but it has headlamp flash and would probably fit...
15 minutes left! Get in quick if you're interested... :?

That would have done nicely, but I was way too late! I think a scrap car is probably the best option. Thanks.
