If you are just looking for a rim to get you home then the most common ones about are the Minor ones!! The other types that fit are much rarer and difficult to locate.

No modern cars have the same stud pattern as the Minor. The spacing now is based on mm whereas the Minor is inches. You have to go back to the 70's at least. Vauxhall Vivas, Riley 1500, and some Midget share the same but as Cam rightly points out, there are an awful lot more Minors around that all of these others put together!

Don't forget that you would also have problems driving home with one 13" Wheel as most of the alternatives use this size.

Etheir hire a car trailer. I paided £35 befor christmas. The safest way to get any new car home.

Buy either a part worn ( about £12 - £14 ) as they are cheap or buy a secondhand wheel / tyre out of the local paper.

Don't forget that you can not mix cross-ply / radial tires. If the other front tyre is cross-ply it will need to be changed as well.

BL/Austin Mini's have the same studpattern, and would probably only cost you £1 each if you haggle with the scrapman.
If you are desperate to get home and use a different wheel, make sure you use a matching pair (front or rear).

The best thing to use is a Minor wheel - standard rims are not worth anything, and with a good tyre is unlikely to be more than £15.
There's a chap in the spares section will even do second hand wheels with tyres by mail order, but you can probably find one easier than that. And as already mentioned, don't mix x-ply and radial.
If you go for another wheel just to get home, you'll need a Minor one to replace it with anyway, so may be best to cut out the middle stage.

Oh yes, I forgot about that one Ray, as we know when we picked up my traveller and it had a Mini wheel on (and a VERY knackered wheel stud!!).

'59 to '84 were 10" (except some specials)

'84 onwards were 12" except the VERY late (late 90s) Cooper S and Cooper S 5 models which had 13" alloys

Minor wheels are 14", of course... perhaps not a good idea to put a 10" wheel on, if the other wheels are 14"??

The Minor has a 4" PCD. Other cars with a 4" PCD are: Vauxhall Viva, Firenza, Magnum, Victor andVentura, Mini, Sprite, Midget, Hillman Imp, Reliant Robin, Kitten, Regal and Rebel,And Austin A30 and A35.

I once fitted 10" wheels on the back of my Minor to do a few burnouts. They spun up really easily!
