I want to get a decent cover for Derek. Money is not a problem as mummy and daddy are paying :D

I have been looking at this one:

Have anyone any experience with these covers? Or can you recommend a good cover?

Thanks

My Cover-zone cover was fine - for a while. It kept the car (TR7) completely dry even in worst weather, although I only used it in 'summer'. However - towards the end of this summer (it's second 4 month season) I noticed the material that always faces south towards the sun has gone hard and cracked - and the water pours through. So - it's now useless - after just two X 4 month periods. I've re-arranged my garages now so that both cars (Minor and TR7) can be accessed without any problems. I would not buy another - I had expecred much longer life from it!

There are two suppliers advertised in Minor Matters, Cover Systems and P J Covers. No experience of either, just for the info.

Coverzone "Stormforce" for the Vikki the Traveller. Easy to put on/off and heavy enough not to blow off in recent winds. Checked the other day, nice and dry.

In a tearing hurry to get a cover I bought a waterproof one from Halfords. It cost about £50 if I remember right and yes, it is waterproof, but unfortunately not deep enough to fit over the car and cover the door bottoms and sills.
If I were to buy again I would definitely buy a tailored cover. The way the weather has been recently anything that reduces the movement of the cover in the wind is a bonus. Mine now has a hole in it after one night outdoors. The culprit being the head and cup washer on the hood frame screw. It hardly protrudes much and there are a fair few things on a Minor that could cause similar damage.

The one I have fits the Traveller like a glove (it even has "gloves" for the wing mirrors to protect them scratching the underside of the main cover). It covers right down under the number plate at the front and 3/4 way down the wheels. Yes, forgot to say - always fit the underneath straps!

you can try covercraft europe. They do different material cover to suit different weather indoor and outdoor conditions.

Cover came today while I was at uni. Just opened it up to take a look. It feels like a slightly thicker version of the rubbishy breathable covers I have had before from Argos.

Is this how everyone elses are? And do they really work unlike the Argos rubbish?

Mine works fine - Roy's the only one on here to report any problems with them...

Hope so. The el-cheapo breathable covers I've had in the past have gone as thin as tissue paper in a couple of months.

Just to be a pain, I think I need a car cover (but am not 100% sure) for indoor use, but I am not sure which one to buy -

Can anyone help with 1) what I need it to do, and 2) recommendation?

I saw a cotton one at the NEC show which was guaranteed to keep the car clean and condensation free, but I didn't buy it as I wasn't sure if I needed one to do more than that . Cost was £42 which seems reasonable for decent quality.

Sorry this is a really naive question!
