Okay so I know this is a long shot but I am still trying to find BYP 415B. a RED 1964 TRAVELLER, once dove? grey - I'm responsible for the colour change. According to our friends at the DVLA it was last registered to the end of Feb 2004.

I owned the car in the late 80s early 90s and my father saw it on the M2 in 2003. - so perhaps lurking somewhere in Kent? Looking from some previous posts it may well have been scrapped as it is not showing as SORN. - Is their anyway of checking the scrapped/not scrapped status?

If this car can be found it is likely to be the only thing that could part me from my Triumph 2000!!!

DVLA reports;

The vehicle details for BYP 415B are:

Date of Liability 01 03 2004
Date of First Registration 25 09 1964
Year of Manufacture 1964
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1098CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour RED
Vehicle Type Approval

As discussed on another thread recently, when it says Unlicensed it could mean exactly that but more likely that it has gone to that scrapheap in the sky. But keep your fingers crossed - it might still be out there, my Traveller showed up as Unlicensed when I bought it (now registered as SORN) because it had changed hands a couple of times without the new owners bothering to register a change of keeper. I had to apply for a V5 at the extortionate price of £25.

When I was on holiday in Wales recently I spotted this Traveller being absorbed by wildlife and the DVLA site shows this as Unlicensed, so there is still hope. :-)
