Boot Seal

Hi just got a new boot seal and have been trying to get it to stay on boot lid .Stay in place for a few minutes then just drops off. Boot lid is clean will I have to glue it in place. Or is there an other way to do it.

it has to be glued on if its the foam type seal

It will stay there, I used UHU contact adhesive.
