trunnions again

ok , this is awkward because I'm only home at weekends at the moment so have nowhere near enough time to spend on my trunnions....or is it my onions?
Two questions please - do I need to remove the hub from the kingpin in order to unscrew the bottom trunnions? I have already removed the fulcrum pins but it looks very tight for space.
One top trunnion has unscrewed easily and kingpin threads seem in great order. The other turns a few revolutions then sticks, and so do both bottom ones. I've soaked everything in penetrating oil for last week so hope they'll unscrew this time - anything else I should be doing - I know one has reverse thread.
many thanks
Alastair
