Damp / cold / poor compression (not likely with rebuilt engine), stale fuel / lazy coil / brittle HT leads....... endless possibilities !!!

Damp hardly likely in Malta! Assuming the fuel pump does it's job when ignition switched on, and assuming engine in otherwise good condition - it must really be ignition system problems. So - close attention to points etc required!

Hi Frank,

How long as the petrol been in the tank?
If for a while, completely drain it add new fuel and try again.
