At the other end of the scale, is the forum of my local car classic car club (Which I thought was an over ambitious idea), which I think is going for the world record of threads with zero replies

. Fancy a challenge??

A perfect score!

The sad thing is the gap between 1st and 2nd is bigger than the 9th or 10th highest posts!
Dan, did you only post this to increase your post count?

I'm not even in the running yet. Did you take into account the joining time. If you have so much time on your hands how about calculating the postings per year.

As some of those listed have been registered on the board for up to 3 years longer than others I thought the more scientific way would be to compare their number of posts per day so here are the results:
1 BMC - 10.3 posts per day
2 Bigginger - 5.59
3 Kevin - 4.22
4 Ray - 4.19
5 Cam - 3.67
6 Onne - 3.57
7 Aupickup - 3.06
8 Dan-harris - 2.82
9 Judge - 2.43
10 Peetee - 1.72
There will probably be others who are newer to the site but posting more regularly though who will be higher up the top ten than those listed
Not surprisingly, six out of the top ten are (or who have been) either administrators or moderators on the site though. Therefore the results aren't necessarily an indicator of who has more time on their hands but more an indicator of how much moderating has been required

Our posts crossed Mike but with an average 1.54 posts a day you are not far off the top ten
Edit: just noticed that mmjosh is on an average of 2.63 posts per day so has knocked peetee off the number 10 spot.
Edit 2: Regaliaqueen is on 3.36 so goes storming in at number 7, knocking Dan into tenth place and mmjosh off the leader board.

This is getting sad. That's another posting. Should be able to break 2400 by tonight.

Well it's quality not quantity that counts Mike so don't feel pressured into getting into the top ten

Sorry folks - I'll try to do better, surely I do more than 10.3 posts per day ? But there's the 'The Mini Forum', Miniclan forum, and the Triumph TR7 forum to look after too.............
Actually - I reckon the ones with too much time etc... are the ones with time to work out all thse pointless statistics!

Do you have a lap top in the cab so you can post whilst you are firing?

No - I think that's maybe where my daily average is slipping. No electricity at all in our steam engines - well, maybe a battery powered Bardic for dark mornings!

Mine would be no where near as high if it wasn't for access at work

access at work
I have to work at work, something to do with my contract!
It's amazing how these posts mount up, when you consider figures of several thousand. I wonder how accurate the counter is, as some of the numbers do seem a bit excessive.

The figures don't seem that excessive when you look at the daily averages. And those that are regular posters on the 'word association' thread are racking up hundreds of posts very quickly just by posting a word at a time.

Oooooooh ! Never looked at that - I could get to 20,000 in no time!

1.54? That's 5X // 7 postings today, that must have upped the average.

I have to work at work, something to do with my contract!
So do I, but sitting in front of a PC all day we do have lunch breaks and quiet periods and they would rather we were doing something during the quieter periods rather than having a chat with someone else in the office.

I believe you, thousands wouldn't!
