Dear All,
Managed to work my through the rear lights and stop lights by trial and error. This was due to the fact that the cotton covering has faded so much you can't tell which wire goes where. Still I've done it and I am certain I heard her say 'about time too!' They quite definitely have personalities do they not.
I have been discussing painter Jemima, with a friend up here and, as I wish to hand paint her -- I have hand painted about eight cars in my time and I have top notch brushes - I was asking him about the actual paint. Apparently not far from us, about ten miles, there is a company that makes 'coach paint.' Well, can supply it and they will mix it to any colour you need. Round here we have many folk who enjoy riding in a coach, pulled by horses of course. The more, how can I put it? -- dare I say Upwardly Mobile? -- wouldn't dream of having their cariages spray painted, they insisted on a hand painted job. Anyway it means I can get the right colour mix for my Jemima It will take longer but I shall enjoy doing it.

I will let you know how things go.

I did once in my youth use proper coach paint on a Morris 8E I owned at the time. It came up very well - deeep maroon - only snag was long drying period and inevitably some dust settled on the paint. But it did polish out after the paint had hardened off properly.
