Will a diffrential from a 1098 fit in a 948 rear axel??

I keep forgetting which diff has the filler in the casing.

I stand to be corrected ( this is from memory), but if you fit a 1098 diff into a 948 casing I think there is no where to put the oil in!!! The 948 oil is put in from the front and on the 1098 its on the back.

Poster only asked if it will fit - it does! Oil can be added by removing the vent - measured quantity added - replace vent. Or - jack car at a good angle - remove uphill halfshaft - add measured quantity oil - refit half shaft etc. The half shafts will be out anyway to fit the diff.
