hs2 carb

hi there how do i set my hs2 1098cc carb which i fitted to my 948cc engine as when i go put your foot on the accelerator it splutters then revs what does this mean? can ssomebody help

It's weak! Set it slightly richer. Also make sure there is a spring inside the carb (on the piston) - and some 3 in 1 oil in the dashpot.

Run the mixture nut downwards slightly - you could try 20w50 in the dashpot if all else fails.

where abouts is that i used to know lots about these but my memory has faded as i use to have the 803 carb on

It's exactly the same - nut underneath on the jet assembly - above the choke connection!
Page BBB2 of the manual - he is using a fancy SU spanner - but fingers will do!
