I have just purchased a scrapper Tourer that was fitted with what I believe to be an Ital engine.
I am considering putting it into my Traveller. I am not sure yet as to what g/box is attached, that should become clear when I get round to cleaning it all up.
Any advice relavent to this engine and its use in the Traveller would be very welcome, eg best g/box and diff ratio.

I would transfer it with the gearbox that's attached - and a 3.7 final drive ratio will be best if you can find one, although a 3.9 is pretty close and sometims more available. But don't scrap off the Tourer too quickly - your scrapper could be some else's Resto Project!

There is so much rust it is of no use, thats why I bought it, hoping to restore it. I have saved many parts

You'd be best sticking a couple of photos on this site if you can. The car might well have the whole Ital set up through to the back wheels which cannot easily be split and matched to a Minor. Take a shot of the diff, gearbox and wheels and someone can tell you then if you can mix and match.
