Forgive a basic question - what, if any, lubrication should I use on trunnion-kingpin threads?
thanks

Ordinary grease pumped in with a grease gun! Something like castrol LM, your local motor factors will have it and should also sell the grease gun if you dont have one yet. The manual says to grease every 3000 miles, I like to do it about every 1500.

Good grief - 300 posts on this Forum - and you haven't read any of the many many 'trunnion' threads!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding - I use Molygrease - extra slippery.

Give them a squirt of grease every time you have the wheels off.

....and leave some grease on the outside of the trunnions, for extra protection against water.
It's good manners to clean this off before an MOT test, though

Leave it on so the MOT tester knows they have been greased ;-)

Wipe the excess off and smear it on the tow ball.
