I think I have found the reason some cars are advertised without mot's. Its the price! I've had a couple recently and they cost £54 each, well I got a bit off, but the point being, it aint cheap!

They were going to become two-year MOTs - whatever happened to that idea ?? Certainly my local 'only' charges £40 - and gives a free re-test for anything, when the rules only require that for certain limited items.

I believe that MOT stations only have a maximum price that they can charge ie £54, many will undercut others to generate business for themselves.
You are paying almost £10 less that we do trade BM.

Place in the next village does them for £35. When I challenged my 'local' about that he said - "off you go then - see if they give you a Pass! " I decided to stay with the Devil I Know!

I went to the Council MOT station. It was about £52 back in Feb.

I trust them because they are not allowed to do repairs (so I'm told), hence no incentive to fail.

They failed it, but that's another story.

Seeing as how a Minor is exempt many sections of the MOT I recon it should cost less.

My last two were £45 each, but I did get a coffee and a trip into the pit to check the underside up close.

Is that with DJK Ray, if so then its worth every penny as they are the best MOT station for miles around the Leamington area.
