Hi guys, i'v been a member for a while but thankfully so far have not needed your knowledge/advice....but now the time has come...... I'm restoring a 69 minor 1000, i have fitted a new loom and there are a few wires i'm slightly confused bout... i have an issue with the wiper motor but another topic has this sorted i hope..

but the problem i have is there are two wires - i cant remember the colors off hand, but the wiring diagram i have for them says they are for the 'flashers'?! they emerge from the loom along with the supply for the coil, one has 12v when ignition is on. i cant find a home for them, have ye any ideas?
thanks in advance

If you could give the colours (main and tracer) me or someone would be able to look them up for you.

Maybe they connect to the flasher canister - which sits on the bulkhead ? Should be 3 wires though - one for the warning light.
See Barry's excellent diagram at the head of this section. Would be green, green/brown and light green.

See Barry's excellent diagram at the head of this section.
That's the wiring diagram 'sticky' for those who haven't a clue who Barry is

But surely most can find their way to the 'head of this section' ???

cheers lads for the reply's..... i had a look at stickys diagram, its not to the flasher can, i have those wires on... unfortunately i'm away during the week with work and i ment to take the colours with me... i suspect they may be for oil pressure and the oil filter.... i dont remember a connection for the filter! is it possible some models dont have that switch? sorry for being so dumb

Yes -some don't have the useless filter switch. But ALL have the oil pressure warning switch.
