Ive just been given a morris minor which has been sat in a garage for over 26 years. I don't really no how to go about getting it back on the road etc. Just wondered if theres anyone out there who can give me tips/ advice on the best way to 1 get it running and 2 what to look out for.
Thanks

Welcome to the Forum! Would be best to add your location in your Profile. May be someone nearby willing to give you direct advice.
First move though - DO NOT just try to start the engine ! You need to take the spark plugs out - and squirt oil down the bores - then very carefully try to turn the engine by hand backwards and forwards until you are sure it can rotate freely. Once you are happy with that - come back for more directions!

One more tip on what bmc has suggested.
Remove the rocker cover by removing the two bolts on top. and watch the valves rock backwards and forwards to be sure they are not sticking.

What year and body type is the Minor?. It can affect the advice given.
For a start you should get a BMC workshop manual which you will need to do your own servicing.

Yes, it's amazing what a wash can do. You view the car in a better light. Any problems seem much smaller. Enjoy your new project!
