wind screen scratch

:) Hi all, can anyone recommend something for polishing a very very feint scratch on my windscreen. It is only noticeable when the screen is dirty

I have done this using Brasso. It's hard work!

Try to find some stuff called Jewlers Rouge. Dont know where you would find it nowadays though

Its available on ebay as are windscreen repair and polishing kits!!!

Jeweller's Rouge - is RUST! It's iron oxide powder. It will turn the scratch into an opaque blob - which will then take even longer to polish out with Brasso!

Yes - for a severe scratch - it rubs it down reasonably quickly - but leaves the opaque mark. This then needs tedious rubbing away with Brasso etc. It's worth trying the Brasso first! Been there and done that!
