I don't know if there are a table convert MPG to L/100kms.
I would like to know if there are because will make me easy the calculations.
Cheers

Using 4.5 litres in a gallon
and 8km in 5 miles
therefore MPG X 7.2 should give you kms per litre
That's all I can calculate at this time of night! I'll get back to you on converting it to L/100km when I'm more awake!
EDIT: Look it up instead, that was easier

roughly L/100km = 280/MPG

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your help!, the first version must be wrong, but the secound sugestion is perfect!!, but anyway I would like to have a finger to convert that easier!
May be other friends from our forum can help me.
Cheers

I think the closest you will get to an exact figure for working it out will be:
l/100km = 282.5/MPG
slightly more accurate than my previous post
Calculating this comes out almost exactly the same as the website link.
Of course the same formula works in reverse so MPG = 282.5/(l/100km)
Though if you wish to use the US MPG then the same is done but with the number 235.2

MPG X 7.2 should give you kms per litre
l/100km and mpg can't be converted with a simple multiplication - those with a scientific/engineering persuasion won't need to look it up - and for those who are interested to know how it works (if there is anyone!!)
using
4.55l /gallon
and 1.6km/mile
converting mpg to miles per litre = mpg
/4.55
converting miles per litre to km per litre =
1.6 x (mpg/4.55)
..............................................................= 0.352 x mpg
converting km/L to L/km =
1/(0.352 x mpg) = 2.84/mpg
and finally L/km to L/100km =
100 x 2.84/mpg
giving
"L/100km" = 284/mpg - pretty close to Andy's ;-)
And on the flip side
"mpg" = 284 / "L/100km"
