Ive never seen one with the trip meter before, but the 1600 marked on the centre is the right one for a series 11 car. Is there a button to reset the meter?

I could be wrong but I'm sure I spotted one of them speedos in Mr Perry's car. Did I or am I imagining it Mike?

No you are not imagining it, I do have a trip meter speedo the same as that one. It originally came from a Series MO Oxford I believe. The 1600 is the TPM for a Series MM, the correct gearing for a Series II is 1000.
The trip meter is zeroed by means of a cable hanging vertically under the speedo. To get it to work in a Series MM you need to drill a hole just behind the steering column bracket. At the moment the cable is broken but I intend getting it repaired whilst the car is off the road.

What year Oxford? There are different design speedo heads. Paul Hurd has one with a trip meter and the graduations inside the figures.

clock on the left :P
same fuel and oil pressure gauge as the mm
a lucas amps gauge
speedo with trip meter.
also the chrome trim on either side is identical to that used in the mm

i will be cutting this panel and my mm instrument panel to run a speedo, oil pressure, fuel, amps and water temperate gauge

should look nice and factory once done
