Well after a bit of himming and hawing I eventully did it and bought yet another Moggie Many of you may remember it for sale at Stanford Hall two years ago ? One of the Irish members bought it and had it for sale until I eventually came around to see it. Its not perfect paint wise, in fact its horrible paint wise and will need a total respray (not for some time unfortunately) but its perfect every other way with no rust at all underneath (though the boot lid will need work as will a rusty hole in the wing).
For the record its a four door saloon from 1958 exported to Africa.

I once borrowed a rather tired 1960 4 door in black. It must have been a deluxe model (Or whatever they called them), as it had leather seats and the remains of nice carpet. It still had the dealers name on the dashboard (Woodyatt of Malvern), the one time proprietor of which my father knew.
If I'd had the space, I could have been tempted by it as a restoration project. I had only trafficators, so I made sure I signalled in good time. Like yours it had the earlier steering wheel, which I prefer. I hope someone has rescued it.
