Always remove the kick plates !!!

Getting so close to the final stages , Id though all the welding was over, alot of the bodywork done , new inner and outer wings etc , Floor pretty good condition , than i removed the hammerited kick plates
Passenger side had been replaced recently and not a bad job , exept not undersealed !!!! , GREAT !!!!<br>

Then The Drivers Side , .....BAD TIMES !!!!
Always check it out lads its the last ting i did and wish it had of been the first<br>

well thats the first thing i do is take off the kick plates not the last

im going to hacksaw my bolts off as they are seized solid and i got a fat lip trying to undo them as the spanner smacked me in the face

I've swung a ball pein hammer high above my head before now, to hit something very hard... and proceeded to clout the back of my head..
On topic though... yes I agree take those kick plates off early!!!

Use a cutting disc on the bolts they are gonna have to be replaced anway took 1 min . mind the washers when the fall off, i didnt see it and but my hand on it !!!!! big blister tonight in the shape of a washer on my hand

You'll feel much better as soon as you've cut it all off, and don't have to look at it any more!
I don't mind doing this area......quite comfortable, compared to other places.

How is it that some survive 60 years intact whilst others go so completely? Where does the water get in? It looks like they didn't even bother to get a decent coat of paint in there on this one!

I'm guessing that it's to do with working on a production line and not for Rolls Royce or Aston Martin.
The best cars have to be those that were destined to be bought by the workers themselves (the popular ones anyway) or those built after a pay rise was announced

Probably mostly to do with car maybe being garaged most of it's days, and only used on 'Sundays' - against car kept on the street - and used every day!

Agree about the writing, but I use toilet paper for the other bit.
