Indeed. The car might be rotten but the seats look very desirable

If you look at the engine bay closely you can still see an engine in there and all the plants appear to be in pots. So hopefully when they have finished using it as a display it can be saved.

well, its different I suppose, might give people ideas instead of sending their old morris to a scrapyard and having it crushed. Hate to think what the watering can is going to do to the engine parts though.

A waste of a car, hopefully wouldnt scrapped when they get fed up with the display. A garden centre near here had an early 1000 for a display, all the interoir was stripped out and the glass and engine. But it was soooo sound and would have been an easy project. I heard it went to the scrap man.

I've got an interior like this one in my shed, Early series 2 in red leather, that I'm not going to do anything with. From a 4 door it's complete with door cards, may just need a bit of work to make it great again.

I'm open to offers, and you'd have to collect. Tea / coffee would be provided....

Just got this as a reply to an e-mail I sent....

Hi Brian,

Thank-you for your care and concern it is very respected!

We are the privileged owners of Morris, and
like you value him very much, he will always be part of our
Burleydam Garden Centre display, maybe not always at the front but definitely within the business.

One thing I can assure you of is it will certainly never go for
scrap,we are very aware
how collectable this car is and with the current offers of payment
already offered that would never be a consideration.
However it is not our intention to sell, Morris is part of
our family business now and will ring the changes of season 'by
driving forward our ranges',we look forward to
our Christamas theme where Morris reflects 'driving home for
Christmas' with a very classy and magical feel.

We hope like many other admirers you too will come and enjoy Morris
here at Burleydam as much as we do!

Kind Regards,

Tania Simpson

Retail Operations Manager.

It looks to be a Series MM. Any chance that you could get the chassis no. Stanley?

Clever Traveller, being able to post messages :) Definately not the original reg plate, but if you could take a peek at the chassis plate I can add it to the register. Thanks.
