I am proposing to fit a battery isolator switch.

There seems to be a convenient position close to where the bonnet release goes through the bulkhead.

Is it critical whether it goes on the live or earth lead? I can't remember whether my car is positive or negative earth.

Does that make a difference?

I think it is more normal to interupt the non earthed circuit - fit it where it is convenient.

Disconnect the battery while fiddling with the main cables!
