I am looking into the cost of shipping a 1275 engine (complete engine except for ancillaries).

Does anyone know the exact weight please?

Well - my scales certainly won't go up that high! They may 'just' take the weight of the engine - although I fear the glass would crack.

I think I'd have to take off the weight of the stretcher I would likely be on aswell

Anyway - back on track. Now I have the weight the likes of DHL want £1500 to ship this abroad - Any good cheap delivery companies out there that anyone has used before?

Thanks Mogwai but I think the idea is canned now as apart from the price the shipment would be classed as hazardous due to the oil in the engine and it's way too much hassle....
