from what i understand a 948 oil dipstick is offset and a 1098 dipstick is a straight rod.

any issues if i use the straight rod for 948 engine? will it result in improper oil reading?

Thanks

As you say the dip sticks are different but they both read the same level - I have checked this in the past....:-)

sorry one last thing. for the straight dipstick is there suppose to be a rubber stopper in the middle of the rod? or is it just a rod with a ring at one end?

I found this image, refer to #30-33 for dipstick. Mine is #30 so it should be fine right?
