crossply tyres 5.00x14 and 5.20x12

Post by carlosramalho »

Dear Friends,
I would like to know if there are difference between the 2 sizes above mentioned?
This is because I have 4 tyres 5.00x14 and 1 spare tyre 5.00/5.20x14 are both the same?
regards

5.00 and 5.20 are the widths of the tyre in inches. A 5.20 is therefore wider than a 5.00.
More imprtant . How old are the tyres and what condition are they. Tyres deteriorate with age particularly in hot climates. Inflate them and check the side walls for damage, bulges and hairline cracks. If in any doubt dispose of them.
