Today i checked at 4 Travelers how the front wing is bolted to the chassis. At all 4 cars kit was applied to close the space between the wing and chassis. On some pictures i could see a piping was used (same as used at the rear wings).
Should also these piping be used at the front wings?
What color of piping should be used for a old english white '65 tourer?
piping

The answer is NONE. The front wing piping was discontinued
early on during the life of the series 2 (early 1955).

fill the gaps with seam sealer. put it on before the wing and run your finger along to make it smooth. it will stop road dirt comming through and channel rain water in the correct way.

Damn pain to get a good fit though, if we get a meet together you will see how untidy it can be! Happy with the n/s but not the o/s wing. It is a tricky job mounting front wings. Now not all my front panel bolts fit. Need to have another go at it.
to top it all someone hit the rear bumper (new chrome!) and broke the rear light lens. Ahhhh, cant park anywhere these days!!!
